1. Our Gemstones
Are your gemstones natural?
Yes. SK GEMS offers natural gemstones only. Every stone’s identity is confirmed by an independent laboratory report, listed on its product page.
Are the stones treated?
Some are, and we always say so. Common, accepted treatments include heating of sapphires, clarity enhancement (oiling) of emeralds and smoke enhancement of some Ethiopian opals. The treatment stated on each product page is taken directly from the stone’s laboratory report.
What is a colour-change alexandrite?
Alexandrite is a variety of chrysoberyl that appears green to bluish-green in daylight and red to purplish-red under incandescent light. The strength of the change varies from stone to stone and is described on each certificate.
Are the photos accurate?
Our photos are of the actual stone you will receive, taken under daylight-balanced lighting. Colour can vary slightly between screens, so we are happy to send extra photos or a live video before you decide.
2. Certificates
Which laboratories certify your stones?
Our stones are reported by recognised gemmological laboratories including IGI, GRS, AGR, ITLGR, GII, IIGJ and ICA GemLab.
Can I verify a report?
Yes. The laboratory and report number appear on every product page, and most laboratories offer online report verification. The original report ships with your stone.
3. Quotes & Pricing
Why can’t I check out online?
Each gemstone is one-of-a-kind, so we confirm availability, final price and insured shipping personally. Add stones to your quote list and send a quote request — we usually reply within one business day.
Which currency are prices in?
Prices are shown in US dollars. Customers in India — signed in with an Indian address, or browsing from India — see indicative prices in Indian rupees. Your quote confirms the exact amount and any applicable taxes.
How do I pay?
Payment options are shared with your quote once you have confirmed the stones you would like.
4. Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide using fully insured, tracked services. Shipping cost and delivery time for your country are included in your quote.
Is the parcel discreet?
Yes. Gemstones are packed securely in plain, unbranded outer packaging.
